Local Students Pathways to University

Those who are Australian citizens, holders of an Australian permanent residents visa and New Zealand citizens.

Mature age (Non Year 12)

Mature-age applicants and non school-leavers
Specific information is available for mature-age and non-school leaver
applicants
.

Non-school leavers include those who do not have an ENTER score due to completing
year 12 before ENTER was introduced.

Monash College

Monash College offers a Diploma of Art & Design studies, which is offered in two parts and has been specifically constructed to prepare you for entry into selected Monash Art & Design degrees.
The Diploma will suit students who:

  • Narrowly miss the academic or folio entry requirements for direct entry 
  • Wish to focus their year 12 (or equivalent) on art and design studies
  • Need to bridge the gap between their highest education qualification and the academic qualifications accepted by Monash University.

Diploma of Tertiary Studies (formerly the Diploma of Foundation Studies)

The Diploma of Tertiary Studies (DoTS) is a one-year, full-time pathway program offered at the Gippsland campuses. Successful completion of the program can provide entry to the Bachelor of Visual and Media Arts
(Gippsland) with Advanced Standing.

Monash University Foundation Year

Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) is a 12 to 18 month academic program designed to prepare you for university study. It is equivalent to Australian Year 12.

If you study the Foundation Year and meet the required grades, you are guaranteed entry to the first year of a wide range of Monash University bachelor degrees. MUFY is offered by Taylors College in Australia, and is also available through providers in Laos, Jakarta and Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru).
