Photomedia is everywhere around us. As an artform, photomedia plays with and reflects on the way that photography has penetrated modern life. This investigation can be expressed in many forms, including traditional silver gelatin prints, alternative photo-emulsions, installation and slide projection, CD-ROM, digital imaging and more.
Photography can show the truth or construct a lie, record a tiny atom or capture the light from a distant universe, create glamour and celebrity or report an atrocity, make an intimate portrait or comment on the world
around you.
All of these possibilities are for you to explore, discover and express
when you study Photomedia at Monash.
