Postgraduate International Applicants
International applicants are Non-Australian citizens and New Zealand permanent residents. Direct Entry is only offered to International applicants who are Non-Australian citizens and New Zealand permanent residents. Coursework degreesMasters in Coursework applicants must apply directly to International Recruitment Services. Please use the International Postgraduate Application Form. Mid-year enrolments for coursework applicants are only available for Master of Multimedia and Master of Multimedia Design and Master of Design. There is a minimum English requirement for all Monash University courses. Entry requirements for Courswork degrees:Master of ArchitectureFor applicants who have not completed the Bachelor of Architectural Design at Monash University, please refer to the Master of Architecture application page. Master of DesignA bachelors degree in art or design from Monash University or another recognised institution. Applications should be accompanied by a folio of 10-15 pieces of recent, relevant work which may be on CD, as slides or as colour printouts, clearly numbered with a corresponding list of details attached. Master of MultimediaA bachelor degree in a discipline other than multimedia from Monash University or another recognised institution. Master of Multimedia DesignA bachelor degree in any discipline from Monash University or another recognised institution. Master of Visual ArtsA bachelor degree in art or design from Monash University or another recognised institution. Applications should be accompanied by a folio of 10-15 pieces of recent, relevant work which may be on CD, as slides or a colour printouts, clearly numbered with a corresponding list of details attached. A personal statement should be provided of no more than 200 words summarising the direction of their current practice, including materials, techniques and content. International students should visit the Future International Students website. It provides information about meeting the Australian Government requirements and conditions for study in Australia as well as Monash University's academic and English entry requirements and fee structures. The Australian Government has specific visa criteria that international students must satisfy above and beyond the University's entry requirements. For more information email study@monash.edu or see DIAC website. Research DegreesEnquiries about the Faculty of Art Design & Architecture research degrees can be made online. All applicants for research degrees who wish to also apply for candidature and/or scholarship can apply in the online Monash Institute of Graduate Research Application page. Applications for the Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts and Master of Design or PhD can apply online. Information on eligibility is also available from the application page. Applicants should also submit a print of their scholarship application together with a folio of 10 - 15 pieces directly to the Facutly. A folio is required for all studio based research courses. It is not required for the Master of Arts, or the PhD Theory only degrees. Please note the further information and checklist below. Applications for candidature and/or scholarship for admission in February close on 31 October of the previous year. Mid Year entry closing date for research degrees is 31st May (for admission in July of that same year).
