Photography and Video Research Network
The Photography and Video Research Network is a research cluster that focuses on a diverse range of practice and theory in contemporary photomedia. Photomedia in this sense embraces a range of photo-based arts including photography and the moving image (analogue and digital, video and film) and incorporates the centrality of these image-based media in contemporary practice and their interrelation with their critical theorisation of visual culture. As a collective body, The Photography and Video Research Network mediates between theory and practice, exemplified by research focused on the convergence of studio practice with theoretical engagement. The Photography and Video Research Network includes practicing artists, curators, theorists and critics. Research outcomes include exhibitions, research books, catalogues, journal articles, conference publications, and critical reviews Research Leader: Vince Dziekan Members: Anne Marsh |
