Gippsland Centre for Art & Design

The Gippsland Centre for Art & Design (GCAD) has an active group of researchers who exhibit nationally, internationally and across a range of media. It has research strengths in the areas of landscape perception and botanical imagery, memory, narrative and storytelling in the visual arts, regionality and sense of place, collaborative practice including cross-cultural collaboration, masculine and artisan cultures and imagery of utopian constructions of reality.

GCAD researchers work in a range of specific material and virtual practices in contemporary visual arts including web design, painting, multimedia, anagama ceramics, photogram, glass etching and printmedia.
