Monash University invites creative practitioners and thinkers from around the world to join the residencies program at MADA (the Faculty of Art Design & Architecture).
MADA’s creative residencies involve the visitor in academic life and teaching programs. It is an opportunity to incubate new ideas, undertake research or collaborate with local institutions, industry and communities. In return, we ask participants to acknowledge MADA’s contribution to any creative works associated with the residency and to participate in MADA publicity.
Residents undertake one or more of the following:
In-house masterclass/workshop/specific project
Contribution to coursework teaching program
Contribution to Masters and PhD programs and art forums
Public event, e.g., lecture, debate, expression of residency work, on-line interactive workshop
We can accommodate residences in the heart of the faculty on Monash’s Caulfield campus (adjacent to the Monash University Museum of Art) for periods ranging from two weeks to 26 weeks. In some cases, we may also be able to provide airfares, materials and other resources.
Applications will be judged according to their own merits and contribution to MADA.
