Volgren PhD Scholarship 2010

Design the Future of Public Transport

In 2006 a partnership between Monash University and Volgren was fostered through the Volgren PhD Scholarship. This partnership is set to grow further with Monash partnering once again with Volgren to offer the 2010 Volgren PhD Scholarship. The scholarship is an exciting initiative between the Faculty of Art & Design and Institute of Transport Studies at Monash University and Volgren, Australia’s largest bus and coach manufacturing business. It will suit a top design research candidate who is interested in public transport design.

Scholarship

• Annual tax free stipend of $A25,000 for three years

Applicant

The Volgren PhD Scholarship will be awarded to a Design graduate who has achieved first or second-class division A honours in their prior studies. As well as applications from Australian citizens, Australian Permanent Residents and New Zealand citizens, applications will be welcomed from International candidates.

The successful student will commence this research work in 2010.
