Architecture at Monash
Monash is introducing an architecture program, commencing with first year in 2008. It will be the only course of its kind in Australia established in an art & design faculty environment. Architecture at Monash will emphasise the centrality of design to architecture and, in turn, to the built environment. This is underpinned by the technology, history/theory and communication components that support architectural design. The creative focus continues into the research philosophy, which focuses on the development of experimental and cutting-edge design Architecture at Monash will encourage connections between art, design and architecture, and will build on the university's excellent track record in design and related disciplines.
