Large Format Printing
Faculty of Art & Design provides photo quality large format printing (Epson 9600 & Epson 9800) for both staff and students. This printing service is available on site or print jobs can be at Artdes Print Job Submission System.
Please note all online print jobs submitted have a 1 WEEK turn around during non-teaching
periods and a 2 WEEK turn around during peak periods
Instructions to print on the large format printers:
- Book a time for printing through the Art & Design Student Equiptmen Booking System
- Have your documents prepared in either Illustrator or InDesign before the day of printing
- Embed fonts
- Choose correct setting for document size
- Convert document to CMYK format
- Flatten all images.
- Maximum printing of 2 hours per person
- No creating/editing of document files on the printing computer
- Note: Students who don't comply with these rules will not be allowed to print.
Estimated time for printing:
Onsite printing
- A4 - 15 minutes
- A3 - 30 minutes
- A2 - 45 minutes
- A1 - 50 minutes
- Roll paper (per metre) - 45 minutes
Online submission printing
Please note that at peak times i.e. end of semester, there are significant demands on these printers so to ensure that you get your printing done on time please book early.
