Bundaberg

I went to Bundaberg this year.
Legend has it, that the Bundaberg Rum distillery burned down
almost one hundred years ago.
The Rum vats burst, and washed into the river.
The town's people immediately ran down to the river rather
than put out the fire.
The river had hundreds of dead fish floating on the surface:
free food for dinner.
The children that night were drunk on fish.
In Queensland, they know that fire reaps its benefits.
Particularly the farmers who needed to burn the Sugar cane in
order to harvest.
On the 4th of July, the farmers decided to burn their sugar cane.
It felt like the American celebration of independence,
but it was just routine.
The sparks, the flames, and their explosions touched the sky.
Just like the companies that run the earth needed the destruction
of AIDS for their harvest.
Nobody is going to put out the fire
After the fire will be the harvest, and then profiteering.
Then, a new crop will be planted.
