Mykonos

I recovered immediately in Mykonos.
I knew that I was in the eye of the cyclone.
I knew that O had just acquired HIV on the Freeway in
Fort Worth.
But now, I was in the stage of every queer boy's dream.
So real was the Mediterranean in 1986.
I knew that all my dreams would be fathomed by this space.
Chernobyl exploded north of Greece.
There were no tourists.
The pelicans had no one to frighten away.
I was alone on Super Paradise beach, made for a queer
boy.
It was time to go home.
But Melbourne could not be my home now.
