Seeing Sound: Applications of sound visualization and mathematics in architectural design
Exhibition dates: 16 November to 24 November
Opening: Wednesday 14 November, 5-7pm
The exhibition explores architectural form generated in response to sound through a process of analysing recorded sound and visualizing sound phenomena using a series of computational and mathematical processes.
A disused airport provides a site-specific context for the architectural investigation, with aircraft noise providing the stimulus for the form generation. The work explores the relationship between sound, mathematics, and architecture through a series of 2-Dimentional and 3-Dimentional exhibits.
