Interior architectural professionals design spatial experiences by combining their understanding of how people engage with the world, with their knowledge of structures and building technology. They create spaces that communicate ideas, shared values and stories.
They can apply their skills to a diverse mix of dynamic projects beyond the bounds of interior design. This may include transforming spaces on a large scale in the adaptive reuse of heritage buildings, focusing on the intimate detail in designing unique furniture and objects for theatre sets, curating a variety of media and technologies to develop exhibitions, or exploring the relationship between community, identity and place in urban experiences.
