Architect

Architects plan, design, and oversee the construction of the built environment.

They combine creative vision and technical expertise to shape our lives, from the intimate scale of rooms, to shared public spaces, to vital sustainable cities.

Exhibition designer

Exhibition designers create displays, fixtures, and spatial arrangements for exhibitions and commercial events.

They use skills in project management, visual and interior design, and industry knowledge to realise their clients’ visions and create exciting and engaging exhibition experiences.

Project management

Project managers oversee the construction of a development project from start to finish.

They liaise with architects, tradespeople, and their clients to ensure that the building projects they take care of are efficient, timely and cost-effective.

Urban planning consultant

Urban planning consultants come up with creative ways to make the most of public space.

They consider a community’s needs for sustainability and safety, the suitability of the land to proposed projects, and how to create built environments to best serve future generations.

Sustainable design consultant

Sustainable design consultants are experts in green, renewable methods of design and construction.

They advise project managers, architects and property developers on how to best incorporate sustainable design features like green walls and energy and water saving measures.

Community development officer

Community development officers are the link between local councils and communities.

Using their knowledge of design and planning and an attitude of care and social justice, they help create empowered communities with a high quality of life.

Building industry regulator

Building industry regulators are responsible for keeping the construction industry safe.

They work with the government to provide a line of communication between the law and those in the industry, making it a safe industry for everyone involved.

Draftspeople

Draftspeople prepare drawings and plans based on architects’ designs and sketches.

Using physical and 3D modelling to create working plans, they provide the vital step between ideas and built reality, bringing visions into the real world.
