Statement
Claudia Terstappen studied German Literature, Philosophy and Fine Art in Duesseldorf, Germany. She is now a practicing artist of more than 20 years standing, with an impressive string of international exhibitions and publications to her name.
Before she moved to Australia she lived and worked in Germany, Great Britain, Spain and the US. She has found inspirations for her work in North and South America, Japan, Europe and Australia discovering traces of ancient and modern belief systems.
Her work focuses on the interrelationship between religion, superstition and science.
